Manatee Progams

There are several programs that serve to protect and support the Manatee such as the Save the Manatee organization, as well as the Adopt-A-Manatee program in the State of Florida. There is also a Florida State license plate which displays the Manatee, that may be purchased for vehicle registration which allows Florida residents to donate to the Manatee foundation. One of the key organizations supporting the Manatee's conservation is the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

There are several survival stories as well as sightings of the manatee that are shared among those who support the survival of the Manatee, as well as those who happen to sight them on their journey's.

A few of the survivor stories include a manatee named 'Moises' who is one of the many survivors whose life was extended because others cared.

The survival and protection of the Manatee is dependent on various organizations, State parks, volunteers, grants, donations and government, along with the respect and kindness from humans.
